Australasian Supercross Series 2011 Schedule

Officially known as the Monster Energy Super X Series, G. A. S. (Global Action Sports) has released the 2011 schedule:

  • October 22 - Melbourne Knights Stadium, Melbourne
  • October 29 - WIN Stadium, Wollongong
  • November 5 - Campbelltown Stadium, Campbelltown
  • November 12 - Maitland Oval, Maitland
  • November 19 - North Ipswich Stadium, Ipswich

Video Highlights: Round 5 AMA Motocross 2011 Thunder Valley MX

AMA National Motocross Series, Round 5 at Thunder Valley MX in Lakewood, Colorado. In the premier Motocross class defending Motocross Champion Ryan Dungey was the overall winner, while Chad Reed's third place retained his series points lead. In the 250 MX Lites class, Blake Baggett was the overall winner, while teammate Dean Wilson takes over the series points lead. The series heads to RedBud this weekend for Round 6.

There are two classes in AMA professional motocross: the 250cc Lites class, and the "Motocross" class, which can run engine sizes from 251cc to 500cc. Most riders race 450cc machines in Motocross, with KTM also having a 350cc machine.
